DG-560 Gitane Nylon String Gypsy Jazz Guitar. Gitane has created a new style of guitar that combines the best elements of Classical, Flamenco and Gypsy Jazz. The new DG-560 is as light as a feather and responds to the most delicate touch whether played in the traditional finger-style or with a flat-pick in the Gypsy tradition. The slim, well-proportioned neck is made of genuine, solid cypress-known for its lightness, strength and stability. It is designed for nylon strings and features a solid ebony extension fingerboard with a full 24 frets on the treble side. The top is made of extremely rare, solid Port Or ford cedar with delicate fan bracing in the tradition of Spanish masters. The redesigned solid ebony bridge with split bone saddle assures perfect intonation every time. The back and sides are of cypress-a traditional wood used on Spanish Classical and Flamenco guitars for the last 200 years. It lends a true Flamenco flavor to the tone and appearance of the DG-560.
